KEEP YOUR PROMISES AT ALL TIMES

"Keep your word. When you say you will do something and don't do it, you teach others (including yourself) that you cannot be trusted" -OneDestiny

"Then the rest of the people,... joined their leaders and bound themselves with an oath... They solemnly promised to carefully follow all commands, regulations, and decrees of the LORD." (Nehemiah 10:28ff)

Over time, honoring our promises, no matter how insignificant, can earn us a desirable reputation anchored on dependability, reliability, and trustworthiness. This in succession can help us to develop and deepen our general life spectrum.

At a time when the people of Israel made their vows, the wall was completed, and the covenant God had made with his people in the days of Moses was restored. Their vows were made towards God's promise never to forsake them provided they keep their relationship with him.

This promise has principles that are important in our generation today. Our relationship with God must go far beyond Church praise, worship, and regular devotions. It should affect our relationships, our time, and our possessions. Just a wake-up call, when you chose to follow God, you promised to serve him in this way.

The Israelites had fallen away from their original commitment and wherever they did so they would lose their prosperity and influence.

We must keep our promises to God in times of adversity or prosperity. It is a practice of taking an antidote of 'come rain or shine!

You will agree with me that the consequences of breaching promises in real life can be dire. Professionally, the people who depend on you for advice or your mentees start dropping their trust in you.

When one loses the battle of trust, shame will also drop in leading to depression, stress, and a stiff fight for confidence. All these are perfect matching orders to the total distraction of the fruits of goodness.

Prayer Today: Heavenly, Father, I thank you for the gift of life and your love towards me. You surely reign in me. Lord, I thank you for all your promises that have been fulfilled and those that are yet to come. Lord, I speak my promise towards my way to victory. I decree good health and healing, immunity, peace within me, freedom from fear, prosperity, favor, divine protection satisfaction to which I declare total and complete renewal. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
