SEEK FREE WISDOM FROM GOD

"God's wisdom gives us focus and direction when we have to choose between what looks good, what feels good and what is good" -Terria Sarah

"...Praise the name of God forever and ever, for he has all wisdom and power. He controls the course of world events; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the scholars..."  (Daniel 2:20, 21)

Certainly, no one lives on planet earth without the ambition to be wise! At least everyone desires to understand how things work better, how to be able to answer all questions placed before them, to know how to overcome all challenges around them, to make wise decisions, and possibly to share wise words with others.

As a result,  mankind is in a constant search for wisdom and understanding of the things of the earth, just as King Solomon did. However, in search of earthly wisdom, we forget that it leaves us unfulfilled and discontented like Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived discovered.

From reading the Bible we discover that earthly wisdom attracts senses and emotions while God's wisdom reflects Him. Again, while earthly wisdom says always 'follow your heart', godly wisdom tells us in Jeremiah 17: 9 that the heart is deceitful above all things.

If you know that you still have much to learn in life, and if you have ever wished that you knew more about life, then look to God for wisdom. While academic institutions provide qualifications at great expense, God gives wisdom freely to all those who ask (James 1:5).

The truth is God desires to give His divine wisdom to His Children. All other forms of learning are weak and limited in substance unless built upon the knowledge and understanding of the Lord himself. Therefore to gain God's wisdom we must pray for it while studying and living God's word by example.

Prayer Today: Heavenly Father,  as I begin to take steps in the direction of my purpose, I ask that you give me wisdom. I ask in faith, that your word promises me, that you will give me wisdom in every small and large decision as I step into my purpose. I thank you that I don't have to rely on my understanding, as I know that your wisdom will guide me to my exact purpose. Thank you that I can come to the throne and ask anything. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I have prayed. Amen.
